Dad’s Great Steak Fries

These are absolute best steak fries. I came up with these when I was tring to figure out what to do with baked potatoes left over from the night before. Now I just microwave the potatoes and let them cool. Them deep fry them to a golden delicousness.

Lets get started.

Software:
6 to 7 Whole Potatoes Scrubbed
1qt Oil of your choice (I use soybean oil)

Hardware:
Pan for Cooking (I use a large wok)

Scrub the potatoes, see my earlier post on scrubbing veggies, and place in a Microwave and cook till done.

I ussually cook them for 5 minutes two times. Then let them cool down. You can cut them into wedges to further hasten the cooling process.

If you want, and can remember to do so, you can cook them the night before.

Once they are potatoes are cool heat up the oil to 350 degrees, use a thermometer to make sure the temperature doesn’t get too high or too low.

Place about 1/2 the potatoes in the hot oil and stir to make sure they don’t stick.

Cook them till they are a nice golden brown. Drain on some paper towels and lightly salt them.
