Top Five Food Network Shows!

Here are my five favorite Food Network Shows. Nothing scientific about it, these are just the shows I really like.

#5 Nigella Bites

Nigella Lawson

Nigella Bites is part guide and part food confessional. Each episode is a total immersion in Nigella’s food life, focusing on the simple yet delicious food she cooks for herself, her family and friends as well as the food she fantasizes about.” And let me tell ya, “she is really great to look at too. If she wasn’t married, and I wasn’t married, and I …. Oh crap, never mind.

#4 Diners, Drive-ins and Dive

Diners, Driv-ins and Dives

“Diners, drive-ins and dives are popular again thanks to faithful baby boomers, a slew of younger fans and a whole new generation of owners. Join Guy Fieri as he visits some of these classic “greasy spoon” spots, from a shack on the side of the road in Tarpley, Texas to a Vegas sports bar with stellar stromboli.”

#3 The Secret Life Of

Secret Lif Of

All of the foods we eat have a history — a secret life that we know nothing about. Take a lighthearted look at these foods and find out why we eat what we eat.” If you ever wanted to know the nitty-gritty of food this is the show for you. They detail all you could want to know about food. Even a few things you may not want to know.

#2 A Cook’s Tour

Tony Bourdain

With “Tony Bourdain as he travels to more than a dozen countries in search of rare, legendary and sometimes dangerous foods.” A prelude to his hour long show on the Travel Channel. Tony’s early travels highlighting places, food, drink and Tony’s curmudgeonly look at the world. Oh yeah, he looks a lot younger on this show. Traveling, eating and drinking must take a lot out of you

#1 Good Eats with Alton Brown

Alton Brown

This is possibly the most entertain show on the Food Network. Alton Brown is a combination of Julia Chiles, Bill Nye and Pee Wee Herman. His shows are informative, funny and just great entertainment. It’s a shame his shows are only 1/2 hour long. Alton’s shows usually air week nights at 8pm (est). If your lucky they run another show at 8:30pm (est). I never miss it. He also gets an honorable mention for Feasting on Asphalt..
